Program Pack-Out is a comprehensive 3-day challenge designed to help nonprofits, schools, community centers, churches, summer programs, and other organizations overcome common outreach challenges and build successful outreach and recruitment strategies.
Led by Bruce Waller, an experienced community development and outreach expert, this program will provide you with the tools, resources, and guidance you need to create engaging and inclusive program experiences, reach your ideal participants, build momentum and excitement, and drive your program's success.
It will be held from August 23-25, 2023. Each day, we'll meet from 7 pm to 9 pm via Facebook Group Live and Zoom. Even if you can't attend the live sessions, don't worry - recordings will be sent after each session via email, so you can catch up at your convenience.
Over the course of three days, Bruce will teach you how to create your ideal customer, corner the market with effective outreach strategies, capture unforgettable program moments and build content for a year, and show you how to celebrate momentum with exciting events and programming. You'll also learn how to address common challenges, such as inconsistent messaging, limited outreach to underrepresented communities, and a lack of strong partnerships.

Participants will learn how to create a detailed customer avatar that includes demographic, psychographic, and behavioral characteristics, such as age, gender, education level, interests, challenges, and goals. By creating an avatar, program managers can tailor their program offerings to meet the unique needs of their target audience and create experiences that resonate with them on a deep level. This lesson provides participants with the tools and resources needed to guide key decisions in program development, such as program format, pricing, messaging, and marketing, ultimately creating programs that meet the needs and exceed the expectations of their ideal customer.
Participants learn to define unique selling propositions and develop marketing messaging that resonates with their ideal customers. They explore different channels, such as social media and email marketing, and learn how to optimize each for maximum impact. The lesson covers developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing plan, including strategies for reaching underrepresented communities and developing partnerships with other organizations. Best practices for measuring and evaluating the success of outreach efforts are also covered. By the end of the lesson, participants will have a deep understanding of how to create an effective outreach strategy that sets their program apart from the competition, with the tools and resources needed to develop a comprehensive marketing plan and achieve their program goals.

Participants learn how to identify and capture key moments throughout their program, such as milestones, achievements, and unique experiences. They then explore ways to use these moments to create engaging content that resonates with their target audience, including photos, videos, and social media posts. The lesson also covers best practices for building a content calendar, including how to plan and schedule content in advance. By the end of the lesson, participants will have a deep understanding of how to create and curate engaging content that tells their program's story, builds engagement, and strengthens their brand over the course of a year.
The lesson covers key concepts such as event planning, audience engagement, and marketing strategy. Participants learn how to plan and execute successful events that generate excitement and momentum for their program, such as launch parties, milestone celebrations, and community outreach events. They also explore ways to engage their audience and create meaningful experiences that foster connection and build community. The lesson also covers best practices for marketing and promoting events, including how to use social media, email marketing, and partnerships to drive attendance and engagement. By the end of the lesson, participants will have a deep understanding of how to create events and programming that build momentum and excitement for their program, engage their audience, and build lasting relationships with their community.
Participants have the opportunity to execute what they have learned over the course of the program and present it to the room. This day is focused on practical application and implementation, with participants showcasing their program or project and receiving feedback from the group. Participants will have the opportunity to apply the skills and strategies they have learned and receive comments and critiques from their peers and program leaders. This final day is designed to solidify learning, help participants refine their programs, and build confidence in their ability to create successful programs and projects. By the end of the day, participants will have a deeper understanding of how to create effective programs and will have gained valuable insights from their peers and program leaders. The final day of Program Pack-Out is a powerful culmination of the program, and participants leave with a sense of accomplishment and confidence in their ability to create positive change in their communities.
